PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES
2024
Performance plays a crucial role in creative and personal development. Performing in front of an audience, big or small, is essential for creating a well rounded performer. Artists differ in experience, therefore I encourage all students to participate and perform as much as possible. This may include performances at school, home, events, concerts, competitions, recordings, open mic, or auditions.
Students that wish to compete in vocal competitions are guided and prepared as much as possible so the individual can strive to be the best they can be.
Performing can be a real challenge for many artists. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves to learn more about who they are or want to be. Time is allocated for students to discuss concerns they may have about performing and we work together to overcome fears and nerves that can accompany performers.

IN THE RECORDING STUDIO
February 18, 2020
Last year was the first time Taylor Penrose Performing Arts students were given the opportunity to record their favourite song. Students are supported through this process and we aim to create a relaxed and fun environment. Students found this beneficial for their self-reflective practice and creative development.
The recording studio experience is local and affordable. The recording is great for personal and professional use. It also makes for a lovely little gift for friends and family, a souvenir that can be cherished forever.
